Asian Turkey Meatballs With Wasabi-joyu Sauce

Ingredients - This recipe makes 4 servings
Meatballs:
1 lb. Ground turkey
1 large egg
¼ cup of panko bread crumbs
3 cloves of garlic - minced
3 scallions - chopped
1 tbsp. Soy sauce
2 tsp. Sesame oil
3 tbsp fresh basil - chopped
Zest of ½ lime
"Dipping sauce":
6 tbsp. Soy sauce
3 tsp. Sesame oil
3 tbsp. Lime juice
3 tbsp. Water
1 tbsp. Scallion-chopped
½ tsp. Wasabi paste
 
Instructions 
1. Preheat oven to 500°.
 
2. In a medium bowl combine turkey, egg, panko, garlic, scallion, soy sauce, sesame oil, basil, and lime zest.
 
3. Mix carefully with hands until combined well.
 
4. Shape turkey mixture in to round balls, about ¼ cup in size.
 
5. Place onto greased baking sheet.
 
6. Bake until thoroughly cooked or browned, about 15-20 minutes.
 
7. Mix ingredients for sauce (soy sauce, sesame oil, lime juice, water, scallion, and wasabi paste) in a small bowl.
 
8. Stir and use as a dipping sauce, or serve on top of rice with meatballs.
 
9. Enjoy!
 
 
Tips and Tricks
*Use the edge of a spoon to peel the skin off of the ginger.
