Rasberry Chia Jam

One thing that has always baffled me is the amount of sugar in commercial jam. On average there is about 55-60g of sugar per 100g. That is absolutely shocking to me. Luckily you can make your own and honestly it takes less than 10 minutes to make. So simple. -- The Nourished Lifestyle

Ingredients - This recipe makes 1 jar
300g rasberries
3 tbsp brown rice malt syrup (or honey although this will add to the sugar content)
3 tbsp chia seeds
2-3 tbsp water
1 tsp vanilla extract
1. ?Place all the ingredients in a pot.
2. ?Put on a medium heat until mixture bubbles. Then turn the heat down and let simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring at regular intervals.
3. ?Mash the mixture with a masher / fork and pour in to a bowl.
4. ?Let the jam cool and then pour in to an air tight glass container. It will keep for about a week.
Tips and Tricks
Make sure to keep this stored in the fridge.
